Why should I use BookEnds Press instead of another, larger company?
Larger doesn't always mean better. At BookEnds Press, we process every project that comes through our doors as if it were our own, because it is. As a 100% Employee-Owned company, every member of our staff is an owner of the company and we take pride in seeing every project through to the complete satisfaction of our clients.
You're in Florida and I'm located in California, doesn't that make the publication process longer and more difficult?
Not at all. We have clients spanning the entire United States. Location is not a factor when working with BookEnds Press. We respect that time is an important factor in the publishing process and we expedite our communications to you so that you will have your galleys and orders in just a couple of days.
How does the process work?
It's very simple and easy to work with BookEnds Press. We have a secure ftp site for you to immediately transfer your files to us or, with smaller files, you can even email them directly to your personal consultant.
Do I get final approval on everything before it's printed?
Absolutely! In fact, we will not publish without your written approval.
How do I get my files to you in a timely manner?
We have several methods for file submission. We accept files via email, postal mail on zip disk or CD, or uploaded to our ftp site. We can accept your files in either PC or Mac formats. We do prefer MS Word formats for submission, however we can accept file in many different software formats. Before submitting your files please speak with one of our consultants ore review our submissions guidelines.
Do you do the editing for my book or publication?
Absolutely. Each manuscript goes through an extensive editing process prior to the final publication.
How can I see my galley proofs?
Proofs and galleys will be shipped to you via UPS expedited service for your approval.
How do I get my books into bookstores?
BookEnds Press Direct is our distribution and fulfillment division and we have several options available for authors and publishers.
I have a question. Who do I contact?
Once your manuscript is accepted for publication you will be assigned a personal consultant. Your consultant will be with you each step of the way and will provide in-depth information and assistance.
When I call, will I actually talk to a person or will I get one of those annoying automated switchboards?
Our business hours are Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM or you may email your questions directly to your personal consultant at any time, day or night.
