Submission Guidelines

BookEnds Press specializes in publishing fiction, romance, mystery / thriller, sci-fi / fantasy, educational, historical, and spiritual titles. For our fiction imprint we are only interested in considering novels with a solid plot and engaging characters. We do not publish Uber, Fan Fiction or manuscripts resembling this type of work.

Your manuscript should be completed and ready for consideration prior to submission. Simultaneous submissions to multiple publishers are acceptable, but priority will be given to those manuscripts submitted exclusively to us for consideration

We prefer to receive submissions via email, however we will accept manuscripts by postal mail.

Cover Letter

The Cover Letter

The cover should include a brief description of your book, including the title, genre, and word count. It should also include a brief biographical outline of the author and detail any previously published works you may have. Please do not forget to include your address, email address and phone number where you can be reached in case we have any questions or need further information during the review process.

The Précis

This should be a 5-6 paragraph synopsis of your manuscript and a brief description of your characters.

The Manuscript

The manuscript should be between 50,000 and 90,000 words and submitted in the standard publishing submission format. For more information, please review our formatting guidelines.

 When we receive your submission, we will review the cover letter and précis, and will contact you to acknowledge receipt of your submission and provide you with the email address for the publishing consultant managing your submission.

Please be aware that the review process includes several steps and because of the number of submissions and inquiries we receive each day, and it may take up to 30 days for us to review your manuscript and make a decision regarding publication.
